Saguenay 2

Here are some additional shots captured on the next day of my visit to the Saguenay fjords. The grass seen in the first picture is actually grass from the river bed uncovered at low tide. The saturation of that photo has been bumped up a bit to create a more colourful picture befitting the sunny day. The little girl statue is actually right next to the river shore and water gets almost to it at high tide; same as the muddy terrain in the third picture, which was revealed only for the low tide. Absolutely fascinating.

Saguenay

I have recently been on a trip to the beautiful fjords on the Saguenay river, so here are some of my prettier photos of the outstanding nature there. It has usually been challenging for me to take nice pictures in cloudy weather, but this time I was able to get it right. I have used ISO100 for all of these shots at around F6.3 - F7.1. It also helped not being in hurry and taking my time to get the right picture. A tripod was used for all of these.

Canadian snowstorm

Global warming has been quite apparent in Canada in the last few years. Winters were shorter and the snow did not stay quite as long as it used to. Whether last week was an extreme for today's standards, or having normal weather once again, the past week's snowstorm was quite a scene to behold.
